Arts - 20 Ottobre 2019 Ellis Island: Finally Lady Liberty Meets her Italian Twin “Libertà della Poesia” Bartholdi and Fedi never met, but were both stirred by the same idea. After many emails, transatlantic visits and research, the U.S. National Parks Service and the Opera di Santa Croce in Florence, Italy succeeded in producing this long-awaited exhibit with the help of several other partners. The exhibit runs from October 18th through April 26th, 2020, and is the third ever done on the Statue of Liberty. “We felt like this was an important exhibit,” said Diana Pardue, Director of Museum Services at Ellis Island.
