Who Is the “Latino” Voter? Does Such a Person Exist? Time for a Wake-up Call

Diversity doesn’t apply only to the moral character of individuals within the group, it applies also to their ideology: some are more conservative than others. While some are more empathetic to the plight of the poorest and the most disadvantaged in society, others are more focused on their own individual welfare, and extending only to their families. Those who simplistically speak of the Latinx ethnic group are simply not understanding that there is no such thing. And it is equally simplistic to say that Trump garnered so many votes from it because it’s fragmented and failed to hold together.
